“My home away from home. There are few places I love more than the palm tree lined white sand beach of Abaka Bay. Every time the boat from Les Cayes docks on Ile Vache I feel the stress of New York daily life melt away. This trip I enjoyed a reunion with my cousin. We both liked eating well and toasting each other with drinks at the bar. Of course we also swam in the postcard perfect ocean and tanned on the beach. The addition of a gift shop and seaside restaurant were the only evidence I saw of work that was done to repair from the hurricane. With each visit to this magical place it feels more and more like home”

“Excellent, from the beginning to the end : – Exceptional customer service. (Every staff member, from the reception to the kitchen) – Beautiful beach, with almost no one. White sand, blue water. – Owners are very charming. Our stay at Abaka Bay was memorable, notably thanks to them. – Food was very good (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) – The island itself is a paradise. Very quiet and lovely local people. If you come to Haiti, Abaka Bay Resort is a must. It is such a peaceful place. You can hear the sound of the waves from your bed. Also, Hurricane Matthew has not affected the resort. Only a couple of trees were missing leaves. Nothing serious. Still really worth it to visit !!”

“From the very moment my feet met the sand, I felt welcome and at home. The staff at Abaka Bay resort was unbelievably professional, friendly and accommodating. The beach certainly lived to the expectation of one of the best in the world. Will I return? absolutely. My only regret is that I didn’t plan to stay longer. PE”

It was a pleasure staying there for my friend birthday bash. The resort itself is well organized and managed. The rooms were very well cleaned, there was staffed everywhere in case we needed help. Our room was quiet and very comfortable with more than enough room for two people. The food was awesome and delicious; there was a lot of variety to choose from breakfast to dinner. The beach was to die for; I could stay in that water all day. You should asked to go to Lovers Island its beautiful there as well. I didn’t have a chance to do horse riding and they should think of adding a few Jet Ski. I would definitely return and will recommend this resort to my family and friends.

“Abaka Bay is truly a paradise on earth. My husbFeand and I spent 3 magical days at Abaka Bay, it exceeded our expectations. I could not believe the beach, crystal clear white sandy beach. The place is just absolutely amazing, the food, the view, the beach and most importantly the service. I never experience such a dedicated staff that will not stop at nothing to please you, they will make your every wish a reality. Dinah and Fernand took the time from there busy schedule to join the guests at dinner. We truly felt like kings, This is by far one of our greatest experience. This is a place for lovers and family.
You will not be disappointed by your stay here. I will definitely go back.

“This place is amazing! My husband and I spent our honeymoon being treated like royalty. We arrived by boat and when we came around the corner and saw the resort I almost started crying…it was so beautiful! We were greeted by rhum punches on the dock and waited on hand and foot right up to the fresh coconuts on departure. The rooms were spacious and air conditioned with lots of hot water in the shower and ice cold bottled water in the fridge. We feasted three times a day on delicious fresh food and enjoyed some of the best rhum punches ever made. There were lots of activities available including kayaking, snorkeling, tours of the village, and hiking but we mostly enjoyed relaxing on our private, beach-front porch, splashing around in the warm, green water, and napping in the hammocks. Supper was served buffet-style every night inside the dining room with white table cloths, romantic lanterns, and excellent wine. We had an amazing time and will always remember it as the perfect honeymoon of our dreams. Thank you so much Abaka Bay Resort!”

“What a BEAUTIFUL resort!!! The staff was amazing and accomadated us with all our needs… The owners were on site and took pride in serving their guests which made us feel at home instantly… We had a couples massage in our room, while listening to the ocean, only feet outside our door… We stayed in a suite on the beach and were extremely impressed with the rooms and how tastefully decorated they were… The resort was quaint and we were able to develop relationships with others whom were staying there, so it made for fun filled evenings of conversations, great food and dancing… Best view of the stars we’ve ever seen, while sitting on the beach sipping the local Prestige beer… It was heaven…”

Abaka Bay is paradise, from beginning to end our trip went perfectly. We arrived at the dock to find our boat and smiling captains waiting for us. Upon arrival to the resort we were greeted warmly by the staff and told to make ourselves at home! The day was beautiful, the beach was beautiful, and the pina colodas were especially beautiful. The meals were deliscious and plentiful, and the service was attentive and friendly. Dinah and her husband were incredibly gracious and welcoming! I will definitely be returning to Abaka Bay- and bringing more friends!

Abaka Bay is truly a hidden Paradise. White sand beaches, mysterious rock outcroppings, pirate caves, and sunsets to enchant the heart. This was the rest I needed. I work out of Leogan doing humanitarian work. Abaka Bay is quite, restful, and the staff is attentive and ready to help. Rooms are clean and remade every day. Rooms are very “western” in comfort including air conditioning, very Caribbean in design and beauty.

Meals are a fabulous representation of local cuisine, with an elegant 5 star presentation and service. Every evening meal is that fine dinning opportunity you have been waiting for. Most guest dress for the occasion (although not required). Opportunities for exploration are everywhere and come at varying prices. I do recommend taking the airplane down, but the bus I rode from Port au Prince was direct and air conditioned. All in all I am planning my next set of adventures for when I return.

If you are looking for a real paradise get away then this is the place! Meals are included in the room price and are wonderful! 3 meals a day and each and every meal was perfection. The staff is very helpful and attentive to any need you might have…rooms are CLEAN and nicely decorated. Bathroom is spotless! The beach is great…a real swimming beach… smooth sandy bottom and just ideal for water sports!
Also, you are greeted on arrival with the best rum punch you’ll ever have!!!
Two thumbs up! Way up!

“…The food was excellent, lambi (conch), crawfish, goat, chicken, good creole food. The water was crystal clear, the beach clean, the service competent and friendly. A small paradise (and I have been in 100 countries). So far so good.
But the icing on the cake are Dinah and Fernand, the hosts of this resort. They did everything to charm and pamper us. We stayed there during the earthquake and they cared for everything, they are people you can trust... “
